Harun Yıldırım, raised in the Toroslar district of Mersin as the son of Ayşe and Orhan Yıldırım, served his country with distinction as an Infantry Specialist Sergeant in the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). In 2022, he was assigned to the front lines of one of Turkey's most critical counter-terrorism efforts, Operation Claw-Lock, in northern Iraq. On September 11, 2022, while conducting a search-and-scan mission with his unit, his team made contact with PKK terrorists.
